MP3 player with scratchproof magnesium shell.

German maker Maxfield unveiled its latest Max Ivy MP3 player.

The MP3 player has a scratchproof jet-black magnesium shell that is sure to turn heads. Max Ivy will ship in January in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB capacities. Each will have a 1.8-inch color screen capable of viewing photos as well as play MP3, WMA, and DRM music files.

Advertised to last 14 hours, the MP3 player also has built-in voice recording capability and alarm clock.

Maxfield did not mention pricing.

This player also can handle audio in Ogg Vorbis format (much better quality than MP3 and developed with open-source, so not so expensive as wma)
