But are they only available in Japan?

Panasonic has updated its snazzy ultraportable laptop line this week, with dual-core 64-bit capable 1.06GHz U7500 Core 2 Duos.

The W5a features a 12-inch screen, 1GB RAM, 80GB hard drive and a top loading DVD writer. The T5a does not come with an optical drive but has an extended capacity battery good for 13 hours vs. the W5a's "paltry" 10 hours.

The W5a will cost about $2100, while the T5a will set you back about $1900.
